Netflix Is Becoming Number One In Streaming

As time goes on, and we delve into the future, more people are ditching the movies and ordering Netflix.
According to Convergence Research Group, close to 25 percent of people in the U.S. have dropped their tv subscription. Instead, they are going to apps such as Netflix and Hulu.

This great news for streaming services. People just love them!

With services like Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix people can watch shows that do come on tv anymore.
THese three services have become the things to go since they have shows like “Stranger Things, that comes on Netflix, Transparent, which is on Amazon, and The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu. All three shows are currently up for Emmys.

But which service is number one?

According to a poll done by LendEDU on 280 Millennials, Netflix was the top contender.

They had 79 percent people who claim they are number one.

Premium channels like Showtime and HBO came were at 14 percent. Amazon and Hulu did not do so hot, with 3 percent and 4 percent.

A possible reason for Netflix being like more is that they have a huge budget. They are expected to spend $7 billion on news shows next year and the year after.

Plus, they have original content that people seem to love.

But why? Well, the content boss at Netflix says that the original shows are what’s making the company the most money. Companies such as Disney, for some time, have been talking about removing their content from the service. If this occurs, then the service will have to pump out even more new content to keep their viewers satisfied.

Right now, the question is whether other services will be able to keep up. Amazon will spend close to $4.5 billion on video content, which will hopefully shift the number of views to where it needs to be.
