LiAngelo Ball No Longer A UCLA Student

According to Steve Alford, the coach of the Bruins, LiAngelo Ball will not be coming back to the UCLA men’s basketball team. However, he is still under an indefinite suspension from the team after stealing while in China.

ESPN spoke to LaVar Ball, LiAngelo’s father, who says that he made the choice to take his son out of the school.

Lavar says that they are exploring other options, but as of now, he is no longer with the team.

During a team trip to China, LiAngelo alongside team members Jalen Hill and Cody Riley was caught stealing. Due to the incident, the trio no longer can play on the basketball team. After being in jail for some time, and an intervention from President Trump, the boys were able to come back home.

LiAngelo Ball No Longer Attending UCLA Or Playing For The Bruins

Currently, UCLA’s Office of Student is reviewing the accusations of theft.

LaVar says that he and his son are not going to sit around and wait for results. He feels that the consequences they are receiving here are stiffer than those while in China. LaVar says that he feels as though his son is still in jail.

Lonzo Ball, the eldest Ball Brother, is currently playing as a guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. Before joining their team, he was apart of UCLA’s men’s basketball team.

Back in October, LaVar made the decision to take his youngest son LaMelo out of Chino Hills High School. He did so because he did not want to deal with the coach at that school. LaVar says that he will continue to home school his child.

As for LiAngelo, Ball says there are no current plans for him to play ball at any other institution.

LaVar says that he will do a better job at prepping his boy for the draft than UCLA ever could.
