Bruno Mars Wins 6 Grammy Awards

The 2018 Grammy Awards was looking to be a great night for those in the rap and hip hop categories. That is, until Bruno Mars crashed the entire event bringing people out of their chairs. Surprisingly, Bruno Mars was nominated for six grammys for the 2018 Grammy Awards that night.

The songwriter and dancing machine from a little Island in Hawaii won all six of the awards that night. On Sunday night January 28th, 2018 the soulful singer won awards were three of his hit songs. They include the hits 24karat magic, and That’s What I Like. He also won the album of the year for 2017. Bruno Mars songs, dances and music overall dominated the blues and rhythm categories.

Bruno Mars Takes Home 6 Grammys In One Night

The Grammy Awards event on January 28th, 2018 had some breathtaking performances. Those performering were Mars himself, Kesha, Kendrick Lamar, and even the rapper Logic. There was also a surprise visit by Hillary Clinton alongside the singer and songwriter Lorde. Beyonce husband Jay-Z sadly went home empty handed not winning a single award. That Sunday night the singer, actor, songwriter and fantastic dancer Kendrick Lamar won five awards.

When Bruno Mars accepted his award from the 2018 Grammy’s for his hit single 24karat Magic, he shared a childhood story. “I recall singing for tourists on my small Island in Hawaii singing songs by Teddy Riley, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and of course Babyface,” shares Bruno Mars.

“The best part of singing for people and still is to this very day is looking into the crowd and seeing people’s reaction to my singing.” He goes on to say that all his songs come from the joy of music in his heart. That was no different for his album that was able to win 6 awards in one night.” Throughout his music career, Bruno Mars has won a total of eleven Grammy awards.
