Chance The Rapper Proposes To Girlfriend

Chicago rapper Chance the Rapper took the Fourth of July and turned into something he will remember for the rest of his life. During a background party, Chance, 25, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Kirsten Corley.

Taylor Bennett, Chance’s brother, went on Instagram to post a picture of the couple. In footage making its rounds on social media, Chance, real name Chancelor Jonathan Bennett, can be seen getting on down he knee asking his girlfriend to marry him. Both Chance and Kristen have a daughter together, 2½-year-old daughter Kensli Bennett. In the video, after the proposal..she runs up to her parents saying “yes.”

On Twitter, he made the announcement on his own page that Kristen said yes to his proposal. The two began dating back in 2013. During his 2017 acceptance speech, he made sure to thank Kristen and their daughter while at the Grammy’s.

In his speech, he first gave thanks to God and his mother and father for supporting him since he was young. He went on to thank Kirsten and Kensli. Also, the whole city of Chicago as he won the award for the best new artist.

Afterward, change goes on to say independence means freedom and that his city is the reason for his success. He ends his speech giving all the glory to God, stating that his victory was the work of God himself.

For Corley’s birthday, he left her a touching tribute on her Instagram page. In the post, he says, “From the beginning beginning to the end end. You are my oldest and best friend,” He then says, “You are responsible for everyone of the most wonderful things in my life. I’m forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God. Forever and ever babe. Happy Birthday.”
