Though people are stealing packages from other folk’s porches, an online video shows all the glitters is not gold! Ex-Nasa engineer Mark Rober an awesome idea to get revenge on those who were grabbing packages from people’s doorsteps. Rober went ahead and built a seriously cool contraption. It was able to hold a pound of glitter as well as a fart spray that would all burst out of the parcel once opened. As a means to capture thieves reactions, there were phones in the package. They were recording all of the action as well as their location.
The glitter bomb videos were receiving positive comments from people all over going through the dilemma themselves. People in the videos were complaining of the huge glitter messes as well as the smell from the fart canister.
However, now Rober is apologizing for the footage of two of the attacks as he admits they were misleading. According to Rober, he asked a few of his friends and their friends to try out his new invention. Those able to recover their package were given money.
Glitter Bomb Videos Receiving Negative Remarks For Being Fake
Things took a turn for the inventor, though. He found out that someone of his friends had their friends pretend to be robbers in his videos. They then sent Mark the fake video reactions.
On his Twitter account, Rober was saying that it wasn’t apparent at first that any of the videos were fake. He says that the reactions were real when it came to the packages that were stolen from his actual property.
Rober says that he had to remove 90 seconds of footage from his original YouTube video. The reason being the reactions of the thieves being phony.
The worse part, Rober says, is that there was a lot of thought, money, time, and effort put into making his device. He is afraid that the fake footage will paint the entire project as being fraudulent.
