Ariana Grande Not Performing At Grammy’s

Due to a disagreement with producers, Ariana Grande will no longer perform at Sunday’s Grammys. Grande was wanting to perform her new single “7 Rings” at the 61st annual ceremony. However, the young songstress felt insulted after producers told her they did not want her to perform the song.

All parties were onboard when it came to Grande performing “thank u, next” that would be part of a medley. Once they began talks on her second song choice, all bets were off the table.

There will be other people performing at the Grammys. Those performing include Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus, and Shawn Mendes. When it comes to artists backing out of playing at the Grammy’s Grande isn’t the first.

According to reports from the Recording Academy, they would not allow for Lorde to sing a solo performance from her nominated record “Melodrama” at last year’s ceremony. Instead, they offered her a spot during the Tom Petty tribute. However, she chose not to perform at all.

Ariana Grande No Longer Performing At Grammys

With the way award shows have been going; lately, it’s unfortunate that Ariana Grande will not be performing. As of now, she is the queen when it comes to the Billboard charts. Both songs are at the top of the list with “7 Rings” being number one. “thank u, next” isn’t too far behind. Her songs continue to be hits for both the U.S. and the world in general.

Grande is still up for two nominations. Her first is for Best Pop Vocal Performance for her sultry tune “God Is a Woman.” Her second nomination is for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Sweetener,” which came out during the summer of 2018.

Even though we may not see Ariana performing Sunday, Lady Gaga will be performing, so the pop drought won’t be so dry.
