Shamrock Shakes Are Back At McDonald’s

The wait is over! Shamrock Shakes is back at McDonald’s, and people are ecstatic. The confection is made by using the vanilla soft serve from the fast food giant mixed with Shamrock Shake syrup. They then add whipped cream on top, and boy is it delicious!

Shamrock Shakes have been around since 1970 and continue to win the hearts of many over the years. The shake is like the McRib, once it’s gone, it’s gone for the season. Shamrock Shakes will be available through March 24.

However, the shamrock isn’t the only thing shaking up McDonald’s menu. Starting Feb 20, the franchise will be offering Donut Sticks on their breakfast menu.

According to a press release from the company, the Donut Sticks will me be made fresh throughout the morning. They will golden brown in color with a crispy, light and airy texture. Before serving the donuts, they will be sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.

Customers will be able to purchase the new treat either by the half-dozen or by the dozen. They have designed the sticks to pair perfectly with their premium roast McCafé coffee. At participating locations, customers will be able to purchase a half-dozen of the donuts with a small McCafé coffee for a special price.

McDonald’s Vice President of Menu Innovation, Linda VanGosen, was able to make a statement on the new treats. She says that the company is proud to be sharing their new Donut Sticks with customers. In early 2018, select restaurants in Illinois were able to try them out, and they were a success.

She says that it was essential for the company to perfect the donuts before bringing them to customers. They went through different shapes, flavors of dough, and the amount of cinnamon sugar to use become coming up with the perfect sticks.
