Jussie Smollett Believed To Be Lying

Jussie Smollett can’t seem to catch a break after news broke about him being attacked in Chicago. There are now reports that the ‘Empire’ star staged the attack. Now, sources are reporting that Smollett auditioned for a role in a play that shares similarities between his attack and the play. Also, there’s a chance that he may have used Instagram to tip the brothers off on his whereabouts the night of the attack.

According to sources, hours before his attack on Jan. 29, Jussie Smollett was in New York City doing readings for a possible revival of the play “Take Me Out.

The Tony-winning production is about a biracial baseball player who a pitcher attacks. Characters call him the N-word and a homophobic slur not long after coming out. The characters go on to compete on a team bu the name of the New York Empires.

Smollet was there with other actors, including Zachary Quinto to perform two readings on Jan 29. One reading was in the morning, and the other was in the afternoon.

After finishing the readings, he went to La Guardia Airport to fly back to Chicago. There, he was to finish filming the last episodes of season four of Empire.

However, there was a delay in the flight. While waiting, Smollet began to post Instagram stories on his page. Cops now believe that the stories were an attempt to tip off brothers Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo. They think that he was making them for the two to see before the attack.

In one story, there was a tag of the airport as his location. There was also a caption claiming that he was still on the runways after waiting two hours.

After two hours, he makes another post indicating that he was still on the runway.

According to the Osundairos brothers to cops, the attack was to supposed to happen before Jan. 29.
