Chrissy Teigen Responds to Body Shamers

Chrissy Teigen isn’t one to hold back when responding to the comments of haters on her social media, especially when they’re commenting on her body.

The mom and model called out one tweet who shared a paparazzi photo of her on Thursday. The picture is when he and her husband, John Legend, were on vacation with their two children, Luna and Miles.

In the photo, Legend and Teigen are both in a hot tub. He’s sitting, and she’s standing in a maroon bathing suit, holding Miles.

The tweeter shared the photo, pointing to the face Legend was making while appearing to star at Teigen’s body. But Teigen didn’t find the post to be funny.

She tweets that everyone is so used to ass shots and photoshopped Instagrams. She says that she’s had no ass forever, and questions if its news to some people.

The original person defended his tweet — writing, “We laugh at dude face ma. That’s what makes the pic funny. Stay blessed.”

Teigen continues the debate from there, saying, “his face, looking at my ass, so nah. I see the comments you know.” She points out his “grossed out face” looking at “her ass”. She says no one needs to explain it to her, and that she gets it. She knows the meme, and sees the 100s of comments under it about her body and his reaction to it. They were “clowning on me or his look at me. That’s all.”

Chrissy Teigen On Body Shaming

She’s always open about her relationship with her body. When she was a model, she would focus on losing weight to fit a specific size. However, she’s working on letting go of that after having her kids.

In September, she was saying that she honestly doesn’t ever have to be in a swimsuit ever again. She states that since she was 20 years old, she has this weight in her mind and it was becoming obsessive. She’s been so used to that number for ten years now. Then she started realizing it was a swimsuit-model weight. There’s a huge difference between wanting to be that kind of fit and wanting to be happy-fit.”

Plus, Teigen says, she’s in a much better place now than she was after having Luna when suffering from postpartum depression.

She states the thinnest she’s ever been was right after Luna. Postpartum depression. “I’LL TAKE THESE POUNDS AND THIS FEELING!”
