The city was able to close the cathedral from the public during the wedding. However, it is seen as a symbol of their being a strong link between the cartel and the Mexican Catholic Church.
According to reports from the Guardian, the church and crime in Mexico go hand in hand. Rodolfo Soriano-Nuñez, a sociologist who studies the Mexican Catholic Church, believe that it has been going on for at least 30 years. He believes that locking the cathedral gives off the tone that the two go hand in hand.
Posts on social media show yellow tape around the cathedral during the wedding. In other photos, you can see the pair enjoying fireworks after their nuptials.
Her mother, Maria, was able to share a dance with her daughter. She is the first wife of “El Chapo.” His current wife, Mexican beauty queen Emma Coronel Aispuro, twins by him. However, he may have over a dozen children.
